Many of us are finding that 8 – 10 hours a day, and beyond, we are consumed with work. Today’s corporate structure leaves all plugged in 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and the amount of information exchanged, and projects to be completed, can be daunting and nearly impossible.
A yoga and meditation practice can be a lifeline for those of us who are managing this type of workload on a daily basis. When faced with this type of daily stress, and long hours at a computer, there are considerations to make sure that your practice is safe, and effective, while focusing on your specific needs. Additionally, there are other ways to bring your practice off the mat, and into workplace scenarios, which can have a greater impact on your own spirit, and those around you.
Shining brightly in the workplace today, is no easy feat. We hope to arm you with tools and knowledge to begin to bring your practice into your workplace, so that you can find your inner light, appreciate your purpose, and hold that light brightly during the stressful workday.
In this workshop, there is an opportunity to learn:
- Practice techniques (i.e. yoga, meditation, writing, and healthy discussion) that you can bring into your daily routine
- Examples of how empathy and understanding can change toxic team dynamics
- When it is appropriate to step away from confrontational emails and text messages for your own well-being
- Listening skills gained through guided meditation that can assist with work efficiency and prioritization
- How to release fear and anxiety, and understand the source, as it relates to workplace
- About your higher purpose as it relates to your current, and/or, previous, jobs
This introductory workshop is geared towards those working in a corporate, team, or office environment, with most of the discussion, yoga and meditation, centered on these types of workplace dynamics (although anyone can attend). Please bring a journal and a pen, and where comfortable clothes.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
A student of yoga and meditation since 1999, and a steadfast warrior in the corporate jungle, Natalie DiMambro brings to her classes a mix of asana, philosophy and tools for coping with the everyday stresses of life. Teaching locally since 2009, Natalie has been able to maintain a full-time position in the Pharmaceutical industry, while applying what she has learned on the mat, into the workplace. As her workplace demands have grown, her practice has allowed her to thrive in a stressful industry, with a feeling of personal contentment, job satisfaction and greater purpose. She is grateful for her work and loves to share stories about her journey bridging the gap between the office and the yoga mat.
